FC to sign former MUFC youngster?
FC United has put in seven days notice on former Manchester United youngster Phil Marsh and is currently waiting for him to make a decision on whether he will join the club.
Marsh, 22, is currently playing for Leigh Genesis and is in discussion with his advisors regarding the approach from ourselves. He played for MUFC against Crewe in the Carling Cup in 2006 and was a regular in the reserves side before he was released from Old Trafford and ended up at Blackpool. He has since played for Northwich Victoria and Hyde United.
We will keep supporters informed of any further developments.
Meanwhile, manager Karl Marginson is pleased to have added 27-year-old striker Carl Lomax to the squad after his move from Hyde. Margy said: "He’s a big, strong lad who can play with his back to goal but also has an eye for goal - he has scored against us in the past for Ramsbottom and Rossendale."
