Mossley Press Release

Mossley AFC HAVE NOT requested to change the time or location of the FC United of Manchester fixture and are dissappointed by the suggestions in The Oldham Evening Chronicle that We (Mossley AFC) were rejected by the UniBond League. We did not and never considered approaching the UniBond League for a change.

We have been woking closely with FC United and Tameside Council to ensure that the fixture takes place at Seel Park as planned on the Scheduled date, and thank them for their co-operation in achieving this.

We are concerned that these completely untrue comments in The Oldham Evening Chronicle attributed to Mossley AFC has caused some apathy amongst the Supporters of FC United towards Mossley AFC and will welcome them to Seel Park on Tuesday 27th of November. This also forced the UniBond League to release a statement on the issue.

It is true to say that a Saturday fixture would have been preferred but Mossley AFC accepted that the date of the fixture would be on a Tuesday and it would be treated like another.
