Rudd injury update
Scans received back from specialists today confirm that Stuart Rudd will be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Rudd, who picked up his injury in the FA Trophy draw with Bradford Park Avenue in October, has suffered a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament with some cartilage damage.
He will begin a six week rehabilitation programme after which his injury will be assessed and a decision will be made on whether re-constructive surgery is needed.
“It’s an obvious blow but it could have been a lot worse,” said FC United manager Karl Marginson. “Let’s hope the rehab works and Stuart is back in a couple of months.”
