Match Report
FC UNITED YOUTH 1 GUISELEY AFC YOUTH 2
Title contenders Guiseley AFC Youth remain unbeaten in the Football Conference Youth Alliance league with this 2-1 away win against FC United Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday morning.
Guiseley Youth had the better of the first half, and after Cassius Jules had been denied by home ’keeper Chandler Rohman on 36 minutes, the visitors took a deserved lead on 42 minutes when Talent Ndlovu intercepted a wayward pass to fire home from close range.
On 64 minutes, Guiseley AFC went 2-0 up when Aaron Fell outstripped the home defence before slotting the ball past Chandler Rohman.
Substitute Dominik Williams was unlucky to see a goalbound effort for FC United Youth turned round the post by visiting ’keeper Luke Wilson on 83 minutes.
In the second minute of time added on, Charlie Sykes was in the right place at the right time to tap home a late consolation for FC United Youth after a Jack Tinning free-kick had crashed down off the crossbar, but there was no time left to grab a possible late equaliser as the referee blew for full time immediately thereafter.
FC United Youth’s next FCYA league game is a home fixture against Hyde United Youth (Wednesday 9th December - K.O. 2.00 p.m.)
